The querent states that his father has a recognised disability of 75% and reduced mobility. In order to meet his needs, the purchase of a vehicle to be used by his children is being considered, as neither parent drives. They also indicate that no vehicle has been purchased in the last four years. They are considering the possibility of applying the reduced rate of 4% Value Added Tax on the purchase of the vehicle.
